Contour offer a wide range of tray roofing & wall cladding options, both custom fabricated and products from other well-known manufacturers. Our specialist manufacturing & installation team, along with our tray systems will ensure your project is unique.

Tray roofing & cladding generally are either folded panels clipped together and lock seamed or rollformed sheets such as Hiland Tray that snap-lock together to provide an uncluttered finish with no visible fixings. Depending on the system used, with our in-house expertise we can utilize a range of materials such as VMZinc, Copper, Aluminium and Colorsteel, to create a unique crafted finish. Tray can be used as a feature wall around main entrances or prominent facades, and to clad entire buildings.

Our skilled craftsmen can manufacture and install traditional and modern sheet metal cladding systems throughout the Top of the South Island. We can supply product to any location.

Hiland Tray

Hiland Tray is an innovative product that is available in long, single lengths. Hiland Tray is snap-locked to concealed fixings via a simple clip system that is attached to the roof and wall purlins.

Typical Tray Profiles

The most popular profiles are based on traditional European designs, including single lock & double lock standing seam profiles, often used in both modern and classic design. These profiles require a solid ply base.

Negative Detail Profiles

To create a flat finish with no visible join, negative detail profiles are interlocked, installed vertically or horizontally they offer a clean, contemporary appearance. Negative detail panels are generally used as a rainscreen cladding system, and are installed over a water-resistant substrate.

Composite Cladding Panels

Contour can install composite panel products, which are manufactured with an insulated or ply base layer with a fully bonded metal facing to create perfectly flat and profiled rigid panels. This allows the designer to create more complex finishes on larger panel sizes compared with traditional standing seam style of product.

All site staff hold Site Safe Passports, are qualified to work at heights and are competent in carrying out pre-start site assessments, hazard recognition and task/job safety analysis. At Contour we believe all accidents are avoidable and safety is paramount.

Installation Services

With all Contour products, we offer a professional installation service. Our teams of site staff are fully trained qualified and experienced in the installation of the products we sell. Our Licenced Building Practitioners ensure the building work we carry out is completed to the highest quality standards.

Supply-Only Service

In many cases construction professionals or the home handyman wish to complete installation of Contour products themselves. At Contour we offer a cost effective supply-only service for all our products which can include delivery to site or self-collect from our factory in Stoke, Nelson.

Delivery Service

The careful transport and delivery of high quality building products is critical to ensure damage doesn’t occur and the product looks as good on your building as it did when it left our factory. At Contour we have a fleet of delivery vehicles and drivers who are experienced in handling our products and unloading them safely on construction sites. Because we are not reliant on external haulage companies we have total control of the process and we can work directly with you to ensure the product is delivered when you want, where you want and in pristine condition.

Condition Assessment Reports

When considering the rejuvenation of existing buildings, the repair or replacement question is foremost in the minds of Contour clients.
