We recently undertook a substantial build at 83 Beach Road, Richmond, involving the installation of steel roof sheets for an industrial roof replacement project for our client, Goleman Group. The project covered an impressive area of 6,000 square meters, underscoring the immense scale of this installation.
Why We Were the Ideal Choice for the Roofing Project

Choice of Steel Roof Sheets
For this venture, we utilized Stratco900, a premium trapezoidal roofing sheet. This profile possessed attributes perfectly suited for this extensive project. A standout feature of Stratco900 is its exceptional spanning capability. Meeting the project’s requirement of a 2.2-meter span, the 0.40 BMT variant of Stratco900 can span up to 2200mm internally, while the 0.55mm BMT version can manage up to 2800mm for roofing applications. The extended span not only reduced the sheet count needed but also contributed to cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, the deep 37mm profile ensured efficient water drainage, reinforcing the decision to opt for the Stratco900 Roofing Sheet. Bremick Fasteners provided reinforcement for this installation, and a Thermakraft Covertek 407 Underlay managed condensation and water vapor transfer.
In addition to the inherent benefits of Stratco900, our Nelson-based manufacturing facility simplified the logistics of producing the required profile. This strategic location eliminated the complexities associated with transportation of the 22 meter sheets.
How we pulled it off
Executing this monumental project necessitated collaboration among various experts, from roofers to cranage specialists. Adams Crane Ltd and Lift N Shift provided cranage support for sheet delivery, with the latter also offering transportation services. Safety was paramount, and we partnered with Maxsafe, or harness systems and fall prevention. Tasman Bay Scaffold provided edge protection. With all preparations in place, we gave the green light to our contractors, TJ’s Roofing, to commence the replacement, successfully completing the installation within the stipulated timeframe.
